Given the whiskey profile that the town now has nationally, Dingle members of the IWS will be invited to a blind tasting in order to sample and vote for the various whiskey's of the year for 2019. This will be only the second time that we here in Kerry will be afforded the opportunity to influence just who the winners will be at the awards ceremony in October and we will be joined by the members of the Dublin, Cork & Kilkenny organisations in voting in this years awards. Belfast and Waterford may also be included. The results of this vote will be announced to all at the Irish Whiskey Awards which will be held this year for the first time in Dingle Distillery on Thursday, October 17, 2019.

The evening will involve sitting down to nose and taste whiskey from several different categories and to award points accordingly. Nobody will be told on the night just what they are tasting which makes this a very unique event.

This event is open to fully paid up Irish Whiskey Society and Celtic Whiskey Club members only. This will be strictly applied. Given that tickets for the annual award ceremony are always in very scarce supply, only members countrywide who actually take part in one of the sample tasting events around the country will be permitted to apply for tickets for the event in the towns distillery in October.

Lets get along to this evening and show the rest of the country just what we here in Kerry can do.

N.B. Attendees are not  required to remain at this event for 3 hours. Attendees can arrive at 1800 hours or any time which suits them, finish their sampling by 7, 7.45 etc and then leave. Latest admission will be at 2000hrs to finish at 2100hrs.
