Waterford Distillery Tasting: IWS Online Event
Group 2: SOLD OUT 28th July at 8:00pm
We are delighted to announce our July IWS Online tasting with Waterford Distillery featuring some of their Terroir expressions and some special samples selected especially for the Society to enjoy. The Online event for for the second group will start on Tuesday the 28th of July at 8.00pm and will be presented by the Head distiller Ned Gahan.
The event will be divided into two groups to provide an environment for interaction and the possibility to discuss among the participants the influences of Terroir on the tasted Waterford Whisky expressions.
Each member can book a place on only one group.
Waterford Distillery was set up in 2015 in heart of Waterford city and quickly became synonymous for their Terroir approach to whiskey, which explores taste of Ireland "one farm, one place, at the time".
We're delighted our members will get a chance to sample and compare new makes from two different farms who sowed Olympus variety of barley in 2017. This will be followed by an exciting tasting of new Bannow Island 1.1 release and upcoming, further matured and with selected cask profile Bannow Island 1.2. The grand finale will be a surprise expression specially prepared by Ned for us to enjoy on the night.
The event will be hosted on on Zoom conference software. Please make sure you have the software downloaded and installed in advance.

We will guided through the following expressions:
· 2 x New makes- Two different farms; Both Olympus Barley sowed in 2017.
· Bannow Island 1.1 (ABV: 50%)- Casks: 35% American Bourbon, 20% Virgin American Oak, 25% Premium French cask and 20% Vin Doux Naturel (ABV: 50%)
· Bannow Island 1.2- Terroir code will be provided, which will include more detailed description.
· Surprise Expression - Specially prepared by Ned Gahan

Booking opens on Thursday 16th of July at 1:00 PM for Group 2. Please ensure to complete your Full Address and Eircode correctly to receive your sample pack. You cannot book on to Group 2 if you have already booked a place on Group 1.
It is necessary to register and complete payment via PayPal (within 15 minutes) to secure your booking. Samples can only be shipped within the Republic of Ireland to Members of the Society.

The event for Group 2 will begin at 8.00pm on Tuesday 28th of July and is only for members registered specifically for that session. You will receive ZOOM access details in advance of the tasting. Please log in 10 minutes before hand and make sure you are ready with your whiskey tasting glass(es), water and any questions you might like to ask.
