Ok folks, it has indeed been a long year thus far but with things opening up a wee bit, the Dingle chapter of the Irish Whiskey Society are happy to once again welcome you all to the latest incarnation of what have been some of the best whiskey tastings of the past couple of years, not just in the town but the entire country! During this year we have been unfortunate, together with the rest of our citizens not to have been able to live life as normal but we are hoping to be able to put a little bit of a smile on your faces in October.
We are once again going to welcome the brains trust of the whiskey industry, the distillery ambassadors to Dingle to cheer everyone up and update us all as to what has been happening in their respective worksteads,as well as allowing us to sample some really special drams.
We look forward to having them explain to us just what it is that motivates them to do what they do, what their own favourite drams are and just where they see Irish whiskey in ten or even twenty years’ time, after what has taken place. As usual, they will be open to questions from our expert audience and there are bound to be a lot of laughs on the evening. And yet again, the Daly's generosity knows no bounds as there will also be some food provided on the night too.
We may also be fortunate enough to witness Crystal Master Craftsman, Sean Daly demonstrate just how he produces those beautiful Dingle Crystal whiskey glasses.
There will be a maximum of 35 people (including ambassadors) allowed at this event.
Nobody who has not pre registered will be allowed to attend this tasting.
It is imperative that we advise members of the following:
This event will take place Public Health measures allowing.
Members will have to make their own way to/from the Dingle Crystal Workshop. There will be no minibus this year. Similarly, members will have to sign in and have their temperature read on entering the workshop. Those members who arrive together will also be seated together for the evening, maintaining full social distancing at all times.
We will also enforce any further measures which arise in the meantime and also relax those measures which have also been relaxed in that timeframe.
