This month we are delighted one of our members has stepped up to help organise an end of month event for us. Our thanks to Luke O'Connor, long term member for arranging a tasting with Hyde Whiskey.

Booking for the Hyde Whiskey Event closes this Sunday July 25th at 10:00pm to allow packs to be distributed on time.

If you can't make it on the night, as we know some of you may be on holiday or have work commitments, you can still order a pack and we can provide you with a link to watch the event back at a later date...

We are delighted to have Colin Couper, IWS Vice President, joined by Hyde Whiskey founder Conor Hyde and Sales manager and Ambassador Neásan Guilfoyle to present, taste and bring us through each expression on the night.

The line up includes some award winning, special edition and limited edition expressions;

Hyde 4: Single Malt Rum Cask Matured 46%
Triple Distilled Single Malt ex-Bourbon then transferred to a Dark Rum Cask finish for 6 Months

Hyde 6: Blended Sherry Cask Finish 46%
18YO Single Malt & 8YO Single Grain Irish Whiskey with a Sherry Cask Finish for 9 Months

Hyde 7: Single Malt Sherry Cask Matured 46%
Triple Single Malt from distilled with Irish Barley and aged for at least 6 Years in a Oloroso Sherry Hogshead cask

Hyde 8: Blend with a Stout Cask Finish 46%
Blend of of 75% Grain and 25% Malt Irish Whiskey finished for 6 months in a Stout Cask from Cotton Ball brewery Cork City

Hyde 9: Single Malt Port Cask Finish 46%
Triple Distilled Single Malt ex-Bourbon then transferred into a first fill vintage Tawny Port cask for 9 months.

Hyde 10: Limited Edition Single Malt Banyuls Grand Cru Wine Cask 43%
Triple Distilled Single Malt ex-Bourbon then transferred into a Banyuls Grand Cru Wine Cask (a French dessert wine using red grapes from Côte Vermeille in the Pyrénées-Orientales region) for at least 30 months.

Booking for the Hyde Whiskey Event opens on Wednesday 21st of July at 7.00pm. Please ensure to complete the event registration delivery form correctly to ensure your sample pack is delivered on time (on the island of Ireland).

The event LiveStream will begin at 7:30pm on Thursday 29th of July and is for members only. You will receive a link to the live stream in advance of the tasting. Make sure you are ready with your whiskey tasting glass(es), water and think about any questions you might like to ask on the night or you can email them in beforehand to: info@irishwhiskeysociety.com
