Dear Members,

The Irish Whiskey Society is delighted to announce our upcoming visit to the Heartlands of Irish Whiskey!

Members will hop on board the Society's very own Whiskey Bus in Dublin city centre at 09:00 on Saturday June 14th before being whisked off to the heartlands to visit the Kilbeggan and Tullamore D.E.W. distilleries. We will have lunch in between the visits at the historic Old Warehouse Restaurant in Tullamore, the original home of Tullamore D.E.W Whiskey, dating back to 1829.

The Society will have the distilleries to ourselves during the visits, so members will be able to savour the sights, sounds and scenery at each distillery, with some free time to visit the gift shops, take photographs and enjoy the experience.

The event will include:

Coach hire for the day, to take us to each location in comfort
A tour and upgraded tasting at the Kilbeggan Distillery
A two course lunch at the historic Old Warehouse Restaurant in Tullamore
A welcome drink, tour, tasting and warehouse visit at the Tullamore D.E.W. Distillery

The IWS Whiskey Bus will return to Dublin at approximately 18:00, so it will be a full and fun day out. There are only 50 tickets for this once-off event.

Booking opens on Thursday 1st of May at 7.00 p.m. It is necessary to register and complete payment via Stripe (within 15 minutes) to secure your booking.

To facilitate event organisation and management, a limited number of tickets will be pre-sold in advance to the IWS Events Team.

Tickets will be sold to IWS Members first, with tickets for guests and non-members being sold only after an appropriate amount of time to ensure any Member who wants to attend is able to secure their ticket.

Ticket sales are on a first-come-first-served basis and attendance is for the registered ticket holder only. Tickets are strictly non-transferable.

All cancellations will be reallocated by the IWS to the waiting list in order. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable, if not resold to the waiting list.

If participants prefer, they can travel directly to the Kilbeggan Distillery and join the Society there at 10:30. If participants are doing so, please ensure to let the Events Team know as soon as possible.

If participants are running late on the morning, please make sure to show respect for their fellow society members and contact the Events Team in good time. However, if participants are too late to arrive to the departure point, the bus may depart without them as the society needs to arrive at the first distillery by 10:30. Refunds will not be offered in this case.

The ticket price will cover a 2 course meal at the Old Warehouse restaurant in Tullamore, any charges incurred by members for additional courses, drinks, gratuity etc. will need to be covered by the participants in question.

Participants are reminded of the IWS Code of Conduct, encouraged to consume alcohol responsibly during the event, and advised to remain respectful of staff of the locations we will visit, the IWS Events Team, and fellow members. Any inappropriate conduct may result in the participant being excluded from the event or future events
